Super Bowl traditons of Bucks students

The Super Bowl has arrived on the calendar again, and unfortunately the Philadelphia Eagles are not in it. Ouch, that hurts to say, but many people around the United States still go all-out for the game regardless if there team is in it or not.
The Super Bowl is more than just a game. It includes parties, media day sessions that allow reporters to ask almost any question they want, and is an opportunity for football players to have their dreams realized.
Super Bowl parties are like an unofficial holiday in a lot of households around the world. Many people buy and make food, invite over family and friends, play games, and place friendly wagers on a lot of irrelevant factors of the game. Even if you are not big on  football, it still makes for a good social atmosphere.
Both teams had impressive roads to the Super Bowl, but both also won their conference on the luckiest of breaks. The Patriots of course have quarterback Tom Brady and a prolific offense, but their defense leaves something to be desired.
The Giants have quarterback Eli Manning, who seems to really raise his game in the playoffs and has a talented group of young receivers. The Giants also have an impressive defensive line that gave Brady fits last time, but if the Patriot offensive line can give Brady some time, it could be a long day for the Giants.
The game was a rematch of the New England Patriots and the New York Giants, who met in the big game in 2007. The Giants won that year, but this year the Patriots were out for revenge and the Giants were looking to reassert their dominance and punch their place in history.
It puts a bad taste in your mouth to root for either team, but the overall consensus around Bucks seemed to be that students were rooting for the Patriots.
Some Bucks students were willing to give their thoughts  about whether they would watch, or hold Super Bowl parties.
Sam Kott, fine wood working major out of Marleton, N.J., said, “Heck yeah, I love football. I’m probably going over my parents’ house to watch it though.”
Anthony McGovern, nursing major from Warminster said, “Nothing special, I’m probably just going over my parents, maybe have some cousins over. My favorite part is the commercials, I like the game too, but the commercials are great.”
Michal Ramirez, a Philadelphia native and business administration major said, “Yeah, I’m watching the game, but the only thing I care about is the Giants losing. Unfortunately I’m probably going to be working, because I don’t have a real rooting interest in the game.”
Tom Schloendorn, a business major from Philadelphia, had similar thoughts. “I am going to be working, but hopefully it’s a late game so I can catch some of it. I love Sunday night football.”
Manny Antunes, an engineering major from Wrightstown said, “It’s whatever man, I might watch it at my dad’s, friends, or family’s house, not sure yet. I like the game the best, fourth quarter crunch time is the best!”
Kim Snyder, a journalism major from Doylestown, was showing flexibility when she said, “I’m probably watching it at my boyfriends, or my mom’s boyfriends. I am not that into the game, but I love the commercials.”
