Get on Your Dancing Shoes

Dust off your blue suede shoes and break out the bell-bottoms, because Bucks is celebrating the 40th anniversary of the schools founding with the upcoming 60’s dance, and all are invited to attend. The celebration starts off with a faculty 60’s dance “Warm Up” on Saturday, Oct. 23 from 6-8 pm in the Fireside Lounge. All faculty and friends are invited to attend for food, drinks and a great time.

The party will then hit off in the Bucks gym at 8:00pm, for all Bucks faculty, students, and friends. The dance is hosted by the Faculty Union and will feature DJ Tommy McCarthy of Oldies 98, WOGL. Also, one of the hottest bands that play in the five-county and Jersey Shore area, “Sound Trac”, will keep the party moving with hot hits from the 60’s and 70’s. The celebration will also feature American Bandstand dancers.

The dance committee invites you to join the fun with dancing, gifts, and prizes. Refreshments will be available for purchase.

Tickets are free for all Bucks students and faculty. The cost is $4.00 for anyone not attending Bucks. “It’s open to all faculty, staff, students, plus the outside community,” said Blaine Greenfield, Professor in the Business Department, and coordinator of the event.

All proceeds will go towards the Bcuks scholarship funds. Tickets can be purchased in advance by calling 215-968-8224, also on campus at the Student Life Information Center.
