iPhone vs. Samsung – which is better?

iPhones and Samsung phones are the two hottest phones on the market right now, and chances are, you have one of the two.  Samsung just came out with a new phone, the Galaxy S8 and S8+, while Apple has yet to release their new 8th edition of the iPhone. These two companies release new phones every year. Upon asking multiple people which phone company they prefer and if they stay up to date with each release, I got a variety of answers. One person named Eric Mayhen said, “I prefer Apple over Samsung, and I’ll be upgrading to the iPhone 8 when it releases later this year.” I continued asking people their opinions and plans on their cell phone purchases. A woman named Martha Banks said. “I prefer Apple over Samsung because iPhone are more simple to use. I’m not too tech savvy. I also like staying up to date with the newest iPhone because I don’t want to miss out on the craze.” A third person broke from the norm of answers I was getting. This person, named Patrick Geemer, said, “I know everyone uses iPhones, and I think it’s dumb. There’s more features on Samsung phones, and there’s just more freedom. Apple makes you follow all of their rules, while Samsung lets you branch out a bit. I have a Galaxy S7 and couldn’t be happier. I’ll probably upgrade to the S8 as soon as possible. I just can’t see myself without the extra features on the new Galaxy iteration.”

It seems most people prefer Apple over Samsung phones. Most people like to do things simply, and Apple is very good at bringing that ease to the table. People also like new and shiny things. Since phone companies are making it easier to upgrade phones with monthly payment installments, a lot of people are planning on either upgrading to the iPhone 8 later this year or the Galaxy S8 or S8+, which was just launched on April 21. Are you team Apple, or are you team Samsung? And do you care about their constant releases?
