Spring fashion that’s affordable

Even though being a college student means you have to budget everything, everyone can find some wiggle room to purchase an outfit that is made to dress to impress.

Finding cute affordable clothes that are in style can sometimes be stressful. Fortunately, there can always be a solution to that problem.

With beautiful Spring weather approaching, looking cute is a must. 19-year-old Regina Antoni knows what it’s like to be on a budget as a college student. Regina says the best places to shop for cute clothes at a reasonable price are Forever 21, discounted stores such as Ross and T.J. Maxx, as well as H&M.

When asked what her favorite Spring outfit is, her response was “I would probably put on light wash jeans with a cute crop top and sandals or sneakers, depending on the occasion.” She also mentioned that you can’t go wrong with a pair of sunglasses to compliment whatever outfit you have on.

It’s no secret that trends are constantly changing. Right now accessories are a big deal. Remember those things that people use to wear around their necks back in the day? Well chokers are back and better than ever. “Chokers are a great way to spice up any outfit”, according to Regina.

Whether it be a plain black one, a gold one with a gem or a fishnet choker, you can’t go wrong with them. Speaking of fishnet, fishnet leggings are another thing that is in style. You can find young adults and celebrities such as Kendall Jenner or Bella Thorne strutting their stuff wearing a pair of ripped jeans with fishnet stocking underneath. This seems to be one of the latest trends.

After speaking with Siani Ashford, 18, she said that jean jackets with a t-shirt dress is one of her go to outfits for the Spring. “I can wear that wherever. It doesn’t matter if I’m going downtown, the movies, mall or the beach.”

Miss. Ashford also expressed how prints were a big part of spring fashion.

And while animal prints have gone out of style, floral prints have come into style. Young girls are seen more and more in floral print skirts and tops. Both Regina and Siani have mentioned that the bohemian and hippie type of clothes is a big trend. Flowy tops and skirts/dresses give off the perfect spring vibe.

One thing that was particularly interested was that pastel colors are becoming a big fad this spring. If you walk into your local Forever 21, you’re hit with a variety of pastels from yellow to orange to pink.

There’s so many different yet fun ways to dress for this upcoming Spring season. Hopefully reading this article will help Bucks students find affordable clothes that will keep them up to date with today’s style.
