2nd Place for Bucks Golf

The last stop of the season for
the Bucks golf team was the state
tournament, though the team fell
short of capturing the title with a
second-place finish.
Potomac State, a Division I
team of West Virginia University,
won with a total score of 467.
Bucks finished with 481.
Fourteen teams competed at the
two-day tournament from Oct. 12-
13 at the Penn National Golf Club
near Harrisburg.
Leading the way for Bucks with
a total of 154 was Evan Navitsky
of Holland.
Jeff Peltz of Langhorne finished
sixth with 163 and Jarret Neely of
Richboro followed closely behind
with 164.
The team, coached for the last
seven years by Scott Bradshaw,
moved into the state tournament
following a first-place conference
finish on Oct. 5.
The win gave them the top seed
from the east, leading them to on
to the state champonship.
Their final score at the Eastern
Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference
League Tournament was
334.
John Moran of Levittown lead
the way scoring 81, followed by
Peltz with 82, Neely with 85 and
Scott Simon of Bensalem with 86.
Bradshaw is looking forward to
next spring when his team will
compete in the NJCAA Division
III, and hopefully return to the National
Championship later in the year.
