Wrestlemania 41 Night One in Las Vegas has just concluded, and we have plenty to talk about.
The Visionary, Revolutionary, Seth “Freakin” Rollins has defeated both the Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns and the Voice of the Voiceless, CM Punk, in a classic match that will be looked at in high regard for years to come.
Not only did they put on a spectacular match but the Wiseman Paul Heyman turned his back on both Roman Reigns and CM Punk in a double cross where Paul Heyman now aligns himself with Seth Rollins.
Jey Uso did it! “Main Event” Jey Uso has tapped out Gunther to become the new World Heavyweight Champion. Jey Uso won the Royal Rumble back in January which granted him a world title match at the show of shows.
He challenged Gunther and had the storyline where even Jey Uso did not think he could beat Gunther, but after Gunther attacked Jey’s brother Jimmy, that sparked a fire in Jey Uso to finally get the job done.
Jade Cargill defeated Naomi in fashion as she now moves to 2-0 at Wrestlemania. This match was a story about revenge because Naomi took out Jade Cargill for several months.
El Grande Americano defeats Ray Fenix in a shocking ending as El Grande Americano put a metal plate into his mask to pick up, and the question still remains, who is under the mask of El Grande Americano?
The New Day become 12-time tag team champions as they defeat the War Raiders in a classic Tag Team match, this new side of the New Day has put them back into world title contention. With this win we can see more title reigns by them in the future.
However, some fans are left disappointed as Big E, former New Day member, did not make his return at the show of shows. Big E has been out for an extended amount of time due to a neck injury.
The match for the WWE Women’s World Championship was a 30 minute all out brawl between these two women with Tiffany Stratton defeating Charlotte Flair and remaining the WWE Women’s World Champion.
The build for this match was intense as Tiffany brought up Flair’s previous marriages as she has had three divorces in the past, to which Flair responded saying that Tiffany’s boyfriend Ludwig Kaiser was in her DM’s. This match gave them the ability to beat the snot out of each other.
Finally, the match that stole the show for me, Jacob Fatu defeats LA Knight for the United States championship. This match was a war, pushing both superstars to the limit as this was Jacob Fatu’s first wrestlemania in his career. Fatu came out with the win and became the new United States champion in a match that will be remembered for a long time.
The WWE and Wrestlemania would be nothing without the fans and the WWE Universe, so what did the fans think of the show? Lifelong wrestling fan Josh Dorè thinks that “The Chemistry between Heyman, Reigns, Punk, and Rollins is truly amazing, really carries the entire weekend as a whole, one of the best and most shocking moments thus far for 2025.”
Even fans of the Golden Era of the then WWF enjoyed the event, Ted Swan who has been watching since Hulk Hogan slammed Andre the Giant, said, “B-, Good matches, but the predictability of the results lead to the lower score.”
